Parish of St. Anthony of Padua                       Masbate City, 5400 Masbate

About a hundred and fifty years ago, the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua have had but a simple church makeshift to gather the faithful in for solace in the presence of God. In 1968, it became the seat of the newly created Diocese of Masbate and was therefore elevated to the status of a CATHEDRAL. Since then, the cathedral, presided as it were among other parish churches of the local church.
